What Does Peace Mean to You?
In May 2019, District 5400 hosted its first Peace Institute in conjunction with the annual district conference.  Rotarians all over Idaho shared ideas, learned from each other, and from those working in the area of peace building and conflict resolution. As a result, there are several initiatives underway in Idaho. The initiatives range from anti-bullying and early education pilot programs to Peace Clubs and participation in conflict resolution. This demonstrates that peace building can mean something different for individuals and clubs, with a common denominator being us – all of us.

The World Peace Conference 2020 is being hosted in Ontario, California January 17-18, 2020.  It’s an opportunity for Rotarians and non-Rotarians to come together, continue learning, and be inspired, leaving with immediate action plans to implement within our communities.

For Rotarians in District 5400, it is a great opportunity to participate in an international event that is geographically close to Idaho for easy travel.  Full registration is only $289 (early bird pricing $259).

We encourage you and attend.  Join other across District 5400 to take the next step! Together, we can make the changes needed to create world peace – starting with us, in our communities!
