On November 20, Idaho Falls Rotarian Vanetta Wilson requested club help to give the "gift of shelter" this holiday season to those in the Philippines impacted by the typhoon, presenting information on the disaster and the Shelter Box program.  Regrettably, on November 28, Vanetta passed away peacefully in her sleep while vacationing with her family.  Her family has encouraged the Idaho Falls Rotary Club to continue with the shelter box project as Vanetta was very passionate about the project; her family named the Idaho Falls Rotary Club for memorial donations in her obituary.  Memorial donations received by the Club are going to the shelter box project.  Within a few weeks, the club has received more than $2000 in donations, with plans to finalize the project in early January.  Vanetta exemplified Rotary's Service Above Self mission, she was a true humanitarian in every sense of the word.  She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, fellow Rotarians - and the entire community.
