RLI is a grassroots leadership development program whose mission is to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership training.
Seven facilitators led group discussion in six separate sessions ranging from Insights into Leadership to Rotary’s vital Foundation program. While the heart of the discussion in RLI is not fact based, Ken Howell, district governor nominee (2015-16) and John Biggs, revealed intriguing information about The Rotary Foundation.
Can you answer this question? Of the three major international civic organizations - Lions, Rotary or Kiwanis -- which has the biggest dollar reserve to implement international programs? While there are more Lions members and Lions clubs worldwide, Rotary’s total foundation assets stand at $733,000,000, compared to Lions $264,000,000 and Kiwanis $20,000,000. WOW!
See who was there...............
Rotarians discussed ways to strengthen local clubs by engaging members, promoting ethics and meeting community needs through creative service projects.
Those who attend all three session will graduate from the Institute and be honored at the Sun Valley Conference this spring.
