JULY 1ST SEES MANY CHANGES AT RI

Among other changes, July 1st of each year features a change of leadership at R.I. The new RI President is Ron D. Burton, from the Rotary Club of Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. Burton, the 103rd RI President, had been President of the University of Oklahoma Foundation for the past 30 years. The theme for his year is "Engage Rotary, Change Lives".  The new Vice President of RI is Anne L. Matthews of Columbia, South Caroline. She's the first woman to hold that position. Ms. Matthews is the former Director of the South Carolina Department of Education.

Some important changes for this year include:

1. Future Vision is fully implemented

2. Clubs can form satellite clubs

3. Now an unlimited number of e-clubs

4. the name of the fifth Avenue of Service is changed to "Youth Service"

5. RI dues are increased y $1.00
