On the heels of a successful Boise Hawks event, the Idaho Falls Rotary Club sponsored a Rotary at the Ballpark day on August 29th to raise money for Polio Plus. The IF Chukars played the Grand Junction Rockies in a spirited game at Melaleuca Field. Thanks to a $1,000 gift from Melaleuca Corp, the total raised for the cause was $2,247.00! Clubs participating in the event were Idaho Falls, East Idaho Falls, Salmon, Blackfoot and Twin Falls Blue Lakes. Dani Bybee, the daughter of East Idaho Falls Rotarian Lynn Bybee, threw out the first pitch. DG Marianne got a hug from Charlie the Chukar! See photos in the photo album.
So our two District events raised $3,110 for Polio!! Yeah for us!! Thanks to all who helped!
